Rogue and Poppy complement each other in so many unspeakable ways. Their "type" is incredibly similar despite their diverse bloodlines. Both share beautifully substantial heads, great stops, correct saber tails, excellent coat plus exceptionally rich color, small triangular ears with correct ear sets, intelligent and attentive expressions, and very correct overall proportions to the breed standard. Poppy had been swimming in our pond (as per usual) just prior to this picture, so please appreciate her "natural state". LOL
It's like a match made in heaven despite the DISTANCE of course! We will be AI'ing Poppy with Fresh Chilled Semen as Poppy is in Ontario Canada and Rogue is in California! I wished we lived next door to one another, but alas ...sometimes you have to go the distance! GOING THE DISTANCE is what I anticipate this litter will do! Poppy has proven herself to be an excellent mama, as anyone who knows our Poppy/Chain babies will attest to. I can't tell you how immensely proud I am of her. She is truly a beautiful girl through and through.
Rogue is a pretty amazing boy himself! He's a total sweet-heart, and reportedly quite similar in temperament to Poppy's dad "Carter". Rogue is so close in phenotype to Poppy that despite the genetic diversity of their combination, I expect to lock in a good deal of similar and "correct" type in their get.
There's some fairly recent MAW lines that we're doubling up on in this pairing, so this should ensure strong "Shilohness". But there's a nicely reduced "percent of blood" on the typically inbred foundation dogs seen in most Shiloh pedigrees. This pairing represents the best of the best to go forward, with MUCH consideration of all associated ancestors.
The Co-Effiencient of Inbreeding on Rogue/Poppy is 7.87%. I'd be happy to email the entire pedigree report upon request.
I anticipate a great blend of type and temperament with this combination! I thank Sierra Shiloh's for the opportunity to take Rogue to our sweet Poppy girl.
