"It's official, Arabella is going to have between 10 -11 puppies. The vet and I had a hard time counting all the puppies because there are so many. They were on top of each other or curled around each other. After spending about 10 min counting and re counting we finailly agreed that their are at least 10 - 11 puppies that we could see. I sure hope there aren't anymore than that. LOL!!!!!!!
I think I'm going to be very busy over the next 8 wks. With this many puppies I"ll probably help Arabella by giving the puppies a bottle of formula if needed. I'll be weighing them everyday to make sure they are all gaining enough.
The whelping box is ready, the baby monitor is set up, everything needed for the delivery is in place. Arabella will start staying in the whelping box tonight. We have started taking her temperature but there isn't any changes yet. For some reason I have a feeling that she is going to start delevering sometime on June 22nd. Keep watching for updates.
